BTS Singing in English and Their Global Expansion KPOPの世界進出と英語で歌うこと

BTS has recently gained tremendous popularity overseas, and one of the things that led to this was the songs with English lyrics. There's been a lot of mixed reactions to this, which I'll share with you here!
Actually, BTS, in the interview Time Magazine in 2019, said that they would not sing in English and would value their own culture. I think some of you were disappointed that they altered this decision. I was too... I expected them to keep saying, "Let's cherish our own culture, singing in Korean!" Also, it seems that many Korean Army don't like the fact that BTS sings in English and perform in the US a lot. After all, BTS debuted as Korean idols in Korea, so I think Army feel as if their idols are fading away from them.
Some fans might think BTS chose to sing in English just because English songs tend to be more popular and sold better worldwide. However, I think that singing in English is a super good thing for western fans. It's very moving to have a full song being released in a language you know. I'm also happy when they sing in Japanese! Singing in English must have been very difficult for them, as they are used to singing in Korean. I think this is an effort that BTS made for Army all over the world!

実は、2019年のタイム誌でのインタビューでは、BTSは英語では歌わずに自分らの文化を大切にすると発言していました。この決意を翻して全編英語のDynamiteやButterを出したことに対して残念に思った人も多いのでは？ 私もあれ？ってなりました...。自分たちの文化と韓国語の歌で戦うぞ！というスタンスを貫いてくれることを期待していました。また、韓国のファンには英語で歌ったり、アメリカで公演を多くしていたりすることをよく思わない人も多いみたいです。やはり韓国で韓国アイドルとしてデビューしたため、推しが自分たちから離れていっているように感じるのだと思います😢
英語の歌詞は世界的に大ヒットしやすいからというだけの理由で彼らが英語曲を選んだと考えているファンもいるでしょう。でも、彼らが英語で歌うこと欧米のファンからしたらめちゃくちゃ嬉しいことだと思います。フルで自分が知っている言語で歌ってもらえるのは感動しませんか？？ 私たち日本のファンだって日本語の曲が出ると嬉しいですもんね！ 英語で歌うのは韓国語で歌うのに慣れている彼らにとっては大変だったと思います。なのでこれは世界中のファンのための努力だと考えることもできますよね！
